Francisco has 23 years of experience in private equity, M&A, corporate development and financial planning in Mexico, the United States and Europe. He co-founded SAGA in 2012, where he has led cross-border transactions in the United States, France, Colombia and Australia worth more than US$150 million, the US$60 million acquisition of a mining company in Mexico and a US$150 million fund raise with international investors.
He has served as CFO of a Mexican business group with construction and financial services operations, as Head of Financial Planning at a single-family office with US$2 billion in assets under management, and as Corporate Development and Strategy Manager at GAYA. He began his investment career at WAMEX Private Equity, where he analyzed more than 100 acquisition opportunities and took part in the first private equity CKD subscribed by Mexican pension funds.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, an MBA in finance from ITAM and an Executive MBA from IPADE. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
